イラストレーター業を中心に、デザイナー、イメージボードアーティストとして活動。ハセガワの「マクロス」シリーズ、BANDAI SPIRITS のガンダムを始めとするMG（マスターグレード）シリーズのプラモデルのボックスアートを描く。2014年から、BANDAI SPIRITS『スター・ウォーズ』プラモデルのボックスアートイラストを担当。また、アニメ『マクロスゼロ』、『マクロスF』、『創聖のアクエリオン』のメカ ニックアート、『ヘルシング』『マクロスΔ』『ナイツ&マジック』ではメカニカルデザイン、フルCG映画『聖闘士星矢 LEGEND of SANCTUARY』イメージボードなど、アニメーションの分野でも活躍している。CGによる表現でありながらもアナログ的なブラシ感を意識的に表現することで画面に物語性を描くことを重視。分野を問わず多くの作品を制作している。

Mechanical Illustrator and Designer, Hidetaka Tenjin, began drawing at the age of three, and has since become a renowned professional artist in Japan's anime production and plastic model kit industry. His art style brings a breathtaking realism to some of anime's most iconic mecha properties, among them, most notably, The Super Dimension Fortress Macross and its many sequels. BANDAI SPIRITS and HASEGAWA, two of Japan's top model kit manufacturers, routinely work with Tenjin and showcase his artwork on their retail products, such as the wildly popular Master Grade Gundam model kit series. Tenjin's expertise also expands beyond anime-related titles. Most recently, he has illustrated box art for BANDAI SPIRITS’s newest line of Star Wars vehicle and character model kits. Tenjin takes an active role in his mechanical design art and has worked on many high profile projects in the last decade, including Macross Zero, Macross Frontier, Macross Frontier: The False Diva, Macross Frontier: The Wings of Farewell, , Macross Delta,Hellsing Ultimate, Knights & Magic,SAINT SEIYA LEGEND of SANCTUARY, Genisis of Aquarion, and Aquarion Evol. Tenjin continues to be an integral part of the Macross franchise, as he has signed on to work on the newest and most recently announced Macross DeltaTV series.
